Kings XI Punjab will square of defending champions Mumbai Indians in the 13th
match of this year’s IPL this evening. Both teams have had similar fortunes
this year with Mumbai Indians losing their first match against Chennai Super
Kings last Sunday and went on to defeat Kolkata Knight Riders but the Mumbai
train derailed against Royal Challengers in the third match. In similar
fashion, Kings XI Punjab lost their first match against Delhi Capitals but notched
a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore but suffered a defeat to Rajasthan
Royals match in their third match.
Today’s
spotlight will be shining on two of the finest Indian batsmen at the moment,
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. Both batsmen batted spectacularly for their teams
leading by example. Rohit Sharma has a vast experience playing both
internationally and IPL while KL Rahul, a relatively new-comer who shattered
the expectations for Indian National Cricket Team and in IPL. KL Rahul has been
performing consistently and registered the highest score in IPL by an Indian
batsmen scoring 132 runs not-out against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Regardless of the outcome this evening, IPL fans surely can feast themselves to
batting masterclass from either of these batsmen.
