Dubai: Sunrisers Hyderabad will square off with Kings XI
Punjab at the Dubai International Stadium this evening. The teams will be
playing the 22nd match of this year’s IPL edition and as they say,
time flies by. Sunrisers Hyderabad are in a dire need of a win which will
propel them in their hunt for the trophy. The Hyderabadi team have lost their
opening two matches against Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore and
Kolkata Knight Riders but managed to score two consecutive wins against Delhi
Capitals and the last year’s runners-up Chennai Super Kings. Then the David Warner
team had dived to defeat against Mumbai Indians.
On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab has had an also similar
mixed bag of fortunes this year. They would be looking forward to break the
record of three consecutive losses against Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings
and Rajasthan Royals. KL Rahul led unit have shown hints of excellence this
year but has not yet managed to be consistent as Delhi Capitals who are also in
the same ranks with similarities. Being led by Indian players and not having a
horde of expensive foreign, established and local talents. But, Delhi Capitals
have managed to remain consistent despite their shortcomings in the squad. The
fans will have to see whether these two teams have the grit to proceed to the
play-offs.
