MATCH PREVIEW: KKR v CSK

Abu Dhabi: Former Indian Premier League winners Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings will face other today in Abu Dhabi. Both teams have registered only two wins as the IPL has been turning out to be unpredictable and bold as ever. The fans are hoping to see underdogs like Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in play-offs squaring off with big teams such as Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Yet, there is still a long wait to the play-offs and the fortunes of these teams will depend simply on their consistency to score points every week. Kolkata lost their opening game to the defending champions Mumbai Indians but managed to score two consecutive wins against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad but fell against the resurgent Delhi Capitals. Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell will play significant part for Kolkata against Chennai tonight.

Chennai boasts a wide array of an extremely talented superstars in their ranks, but it has not been all rosy for Chennai in this year’s IPL. In their opening game, Chennai scored a comfortable win against Mumbai Indians but fell short in the next three matches losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. In their fourth match, they returned in a typical CSK unforgiving fashion by thrashing Kings XI Punjab. The skipper MS Dhoni will play a huge part as ever and veteran players like Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson will have to outperform Kolkata top order in order to win against the Knight Riders.
