M. Venkiah Naidu, the Vice-President of India has tested positive
for coronavirus. The Vice-President’s office has tweeted that the vice-president
underwent a routine covid-19 test and the result came positive. The
vice-president is currently in self-quarantine but to be in good health and
currently do not having covid-19 symptoms. Naidu’s wife Smt. Usha Naidu has
also been tested but the test came out negative. Despite the negative result, she
is currently in self-isolation.
Politicians across the country such as former Andhra Pradesh
Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nirmala Sitharaman and Nitin Gadkari have
wished a speedy recovery to the vice-president on their twitter pages.
