Indian government has given flexibility to states and Union Territories on how and when to re-open schools and coaching institutes.

Since the pandemic began in March, several types of establishments have had been closed shut after Indian government imposed lockdown which brought the country to a standstill. Governments around the world also had imposed lockdowns to curb the spread of the deadly virus. India currently ranks second in terms of total infections and third in casualties caused by the coronavirus.
