Dubai: Ben
Stokes is set to return to action in Indian Premier League with his team
Rajasthan Royals. The English all-rounder is currently in New Zealand after
learning that his father has been diagnosed with brain cancer. The Englishman
left England during Pakistan series and was also absent in England team during
a series against arch-rivals Australia. Ben Stokes had posted a picture on
Instagram in which he was sitting along with his father. He captioned the post
with “goodbyes never get easier.”
On his
return to cricket in Dubai, Ben Stokes will be in self-isolation for a period
and will be going under a slew of covid-19 tests before he could return to play
with his fellow Rajasthan Royals team-mates. Ben Stokes won BBC Sports
Personality in 2019. Rajasthan Royals has not yet released a statement on the
all-rounder’s return to team but previously stated that they will give Stokes
as much time as he needed. After the self-isolation period and undergoing
tests, Ben Stokes could return to Rajasthan team which direly need an
experienced all-rounder in its middle order.
