At the Dubai
International Stadium, this year’s IPL edition continues as Rajasthan Royals
and Kolkata Knight Riders will come face to face. Rajasthan would be looking to
continue their momentum after they defeated last year’s runners-up Chennai
Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab in their second match in a shocking run chase
of 224 runs. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders fortunes in this year’s
edition is a bag of mixed fortunes. Kolkata had lost their opening match
against Mumbai Indians but came back strongly against Sunrisers Hyderabad defeating
them by seven wickets.
The batting
order of RR has scored behemoth runs in both matches and the top order of
Rajasthan has been yielding excellent results with the solid starts in both
matches. Sanju Samson might yet again steal the spotlight against Kolkata this
evening as he had in the previous two matches scoring 50 plus in both. Steve
Smith along with Sanju Samson has been more than excellent this year and if
Rajasthan were to make the play-offs, the continuation of Samson and Smith’s
form is highly important.
