INDIA REGISTERS 69, 671 NEW CASES AND 777 DEATHS, GLOBAL DEATHS CROSS 1 MILLION

India continues to suffer against the deadly coronavirus pandemic as the total number of infections crossed six million mark and now stands at 6,145,291 and total deaths tally at 96,351. In coronavirus charts, India is the second worst-hit nation following the United States which has reported over 200,000 deaths since the pandemic started in March. India is followed by Brazil in terms of total infections. But it ranks higher than India in total number of deaths occurred due to the virus. 1 million people have had lost their virus around the world due to the coronavirus.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh nabs the grim first three rankings in India. Amidst reports of dip in testing, India continues to move forward with a sense of co-existence with the virus. The deadly virus began in March and despite registering few cases in the first three months, the widespread of the virus in post lockdown India pushed the country to the second worst-hit nation in the world. Indian government had no option but to lift the lockdown in early June after the country started to show signs of significant economic decline. The frontline workers in India and the rest of the world continue to fight against the virus. Experts could not predict how or when the pandemic will end.
