Paris: The 12-time French Open winner, Rafael Nadal went through to the quarter-finals after he defeated the 19-year old American player Sebastian Korda in straight sets. Nadal has yet to drop a set in this year’s French Open with the Spanish legend gaining victories against his opponents with ruthless domination this year. Nadal is the favourite win the French Slam barring any surprises which seem to be plenty at any Grand Slam tournament. Nadal will play the Italian, Jannik Sinner in quarter-finals. The clay court specialist continued his dominance against the young American, Korda, winning 6-1 6-1 6-2. Nadal is hoping to win the French Open fourth time in a row.

With no fans in attendance, the once boisterous Roland Garros in Paris has been devoid of excitement to an extent. Still, the players were giving their best, despite the absence of the fans. Most of the global sports have restarted without fans and are continuing to do so. The sporting bodies have no date set for the return of fans as the world continues to suffer against the coronavirus.
