London: The
latest film in James Bond franchise, “No Time To Die” has been postponed again.
The film was originally scheduled to be released in April this year but was
postponed to November due to the coronavirus outbreak in March. The film’s
release has again been delayed and postponed to May of 2021. Cary Joji Fukunaga
helmed the film as the director, having previously directed critically
acclaimed television series, “True Detective” Daniel Craig who has been playing
the infamous British spy since 2006 has ended his involvement with the Bond
series with No Time To Die being the last Bond film he will star in. Initially
dividing the fans, Daniel Craig has come to receive acclaim for his portrayal of
the spy from both fans and critics alike. Apart from Quantum of Solace, all
bond films led by Daniel Craig has been successful both critically and
commercially. Skyfall became the first film in 2012 when it crossed one billion
mark and it was followed by “Spectre” which was released in 2015 with mixed
review but had a performance at the box office grossing 900 million dollars.
Daniel Craig
had previously told that “Spectre” would be the last film he would star in but after
negotiations with the studio, Daniel Craig returned for one last time. If the
current global circumstances are any indication, it will be a while before the
fans see Daniel Craig as James Bond in his last outing.
