New Delhi: The
deadly pandemic shows no signs of quitting in the world’s second most populated
country. India has reported 86, 748 new cases and 1,179 deaths in the last 24
hours. More than five-million people in India have recovered so far. India has
stepped into Unlock five phase with Indian government issuing orders on Wednesday
to allow movie theatres, multiplexes, swimming pools and other public and
private establishments across the country to re-open for the first time since
lockdown was implemented in late March.
The Central
Government has stated that the states and Union Territories can allow schools
and coaching institutes to reopen with their own guidelines and rules. The
decisions were left to the states and union territories.
Around the
people, more than 34 million people were infected with the coronavirus and this
week has seen one million die of the virus. The United States remain at the top
of countries in terms of cases and deaths followed by India and Brazil.
