Dean Jones,
the former Australian cricketer and commentator passed away in Mumbai on
Thursday after a cardiac arrest. Dean Jones appeared to be normal during a briefing
on Thursday but collapsed in the corridor of a South Mumbai hotel and was
immediately rushed to a hospital. He was declared dead on arrival and further
details are expected to be released from the relevant authorities after the
completion of post-mortem.
Tributes
poured in for the popular cricketer and commentator from former and present
cricketers. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Jimmy Neesham and Ravi Shastri
paid their tributes on social media. IPL broadcaster Star India has also issued
a statement regarding Mr. Jones’s death and pledged that it will be assisting Jones’s
family in every manner possible.
