India can
see no end in its sight against the battle of Coronavirus. Over 86,000 fresh
cases were added yesterday. The pandemic has caused 91,173 deaths and the total
number of infections is close 6 million. While the past week has been hopeful
for the country with number of recoveries outstripping the number of fresh
cases, experts attribute this optimistic statistic to a dip in Covid-19
testing. There has been reports that country had seen a dip in testings this
past week.
Prime Minister
Narendra Modi in a coronavirus review video, told the Chief Ministers of the states
that 7 states in India are of concern and also put forward a proposal of short
lockdowns for a day or two to the Chief Ministers. India remains the second in
the list of total coronavirus cases per country surpassing Brazil. United
States is first in the list hitting the tragic record of having 200,000 deaths
as reported this week.
