Sharjah: Royal Challengers Bangalore would kick of the new
week with a game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Both teams are coming into
the fixture searching for a fifth win in this year’s campaign. Royal
Challengers Bangalore have been enjoying a modest success this year and
undoubtedly a better campaign than last year’s. The recent resurgence of the
team could be attributed to the dynamic skipper Virat Kohli and the valiant
efforts of bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal. Virat Kohli has smashed 90 runs off 52
balls in the last match against Chennai Super Kings. Bangalore team have also
been successful against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai
Indians. Coming into today’s match, the Bangalore fans would look up to their
skipper Kohli to deliver yet another strong performance so that they could
improve their chances to occupy a place in the points table which would help
them to get into the playoffs.
As for the Kolkata Knight Riders, they would be vying for
hat-trick win against Bangalore after defeating Kings XI Punjab and Chennai
Super Kings. Kolkata lost their opening match but since recuperated nicely with
the help of a stable bowling talents. Dinesh Karthik would be looking to
maintain his form and assist the team to reach a decent score. Shuban Gill
would be playing a pivotal role as his opener role is more than important if
they opt to bat first this evening.
