AMAZON INDIA LAUNCHES 4 REGIONAL LANGAUGES TO ITS PLATFORM

Amazon India has announced that its customers can browse for shopping after the company has added Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam to its interface. The users can access these new language features on both android and apple store mobile apps and their website. In the past, Amazon had added Hindi to its platform and added several regional languages for its customer service. Now, the company can boast some of major Indian regional languages on its platform which will further enhance customer experience on the platform.

Kishore Thota, Amazon India Director of Customer Experience and Marketing said to PTI, “With this launch, Amazon.in customers can discover great deals, read product information, place and pay for their orders in their language of preference.” The company has reflected that a large number of customers select Hindi as their preferred language to browse and shop on their platform. Now, with all the Southern Indian languages launched, the customers can use their preferred language to shop, pay, make recharges on Amazon India.

Amazon’s primary rival in Indian e-commerce market Flipkart already added Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada on their own platform.
