Los Angeles: The Israeli actress Gal Gadot is picked to play
the legendary queen of the Nile, Cleopatra. The film would be directed by Patty
Jenkins who also directed Gadot in 2017 DC blockbuster ‘Wonder Woman.’ The director
has also directed ‘Wonder Woman 84’ which is scheduled to be released on
December 25th of this year. ‘WW84’ was postponed several times due
to the pandemic and the December release may yet be postponed if the pandemic
continues to rise in the United States and the rest of the world. The United
States have partially theatres with strict guidelines but, the industry experts
are predicting a disastrous future of theatre chains in the US and the film
industry itself. Currently, major studios have been forced to release their
tent-pole films through streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney +, HBO Max and
Hulu.
