A transport
truck loaded with 88 kgs of Ganja was stopped and searched at the busy Ramavarapadu
Junction. The police found 800 kgs of ganja hidden behind maize bags. The
authorities have arrested two individuals; Bhagavath Sekhar and Prabhukaram
Lakshman. The trucking was bearing a Tamil Nadu license plate and was headed to
Coimbatore. The police revealed that the ganja was coming from Visakhapatnam
Agency Area.
The arrested
men were charged with NDPs act and were later produced in a sessions court. A
search is underway for the receiver of the ganja. The task force was led by
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Srinivas Rao. The police estimated the
value of ganja found in the truck to 80 lakhs.
