lockdown in late March. On May 6, Telangana government had allowed the sales of
liquor.
The
government has issued strict prevention measures for all the owners of these
establishments but has not detailed what actions would be taken in case of pubs
and bars failed to implement the conditions listed by the government. Telangana
government has issued conditions as face masks for staff in pubs and bars,
compulsory thermal screening at the entrance, providing sanitisers and all the
seats should be sanitized before a new customer is seated. It also said that
the premises should be sanitized twice a day. Musical events and dancing floors
will not be opened and the government has said that proper ventilation must be provided
on the premises and it is the responsibility of the owners to ensure that all
these measures are undertaken seriously.
